Elysia Gilman primarily uses oils to create vivid portraits, dynamic sporting scenes and other figurative work.

Inspired by the impressionists, she uses confident brushstrokes to capture the way in which light falls on objects to capture a snapshot in time.

By the age of 17 she had won 1st prize in the national MOMA Machynlleth Tabernacle Art Competition and, in recent months, has been featured twice on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Week and her work has been noticed by The Cricketer Magazine, ESPN, English cricketer Ben Stokes, and Cannon Hall Farm.
