Sandy Morgan is a North Wales-based artist living in Cilcain, working in oils both plein air and in the studio. Painting outdoors lies at the heart of her practice, allowing her to respond intuitively to changing light, atmosphere and weather.

 

Her loose, impressionistic approach seeks to capture not only what she sees, but how a place feels in a particular moment. She also enjoys painting still life alla prima, bringing the same directness and observational sensitivity to her subjects.

 

Her work has been exhibited across the UK, including at the Chelsea Art Society Summer Exhibition and North Wales Open. She is a member of London Plein Air Painters, Grosvenor Art Society and The Artists Group.
