Paul originally trained in graphic design which led him into the creative world of advertising. After a successful 25-year career, he returned to his love of painting and is now a full-time professional artist and tutor specialising in pastel painting.

Paul has been painting and teaching pastel for many years and has perfected his own techniques to capture light and shade within a painting. In 2017 his book ‘Beginning Pastel’ was launched and is selling well right across the globe.

Paul is the founder of ART North Wales and Conwy Arts Festival. He is an associate partner of the Visual Artists Association and an ambassador for Unison Pastels.
