Since graduating from Liverpool School of Art, I have enjoyed a successful career in advertising and design, before establishing my art studio in Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant in 2020.

My landscapes aim to capture a gritty physicality, woven with literary touchpoints and nuances. An interest in geomorphology, history, mythology and literature help me to create a deeper narrative for each piece. I use an earthy colour palette contrasted with vivid primaries and deep shadows. I find inspiration in the works of Turner, Samuel Palmer, Kyffin Williams, Piper, Nash and Roestenburg—in addition to my own countless experiences in the outdoors.

My portraiture covers historical as well as contemporary commissions. I won’t paint from photographs, except where the subject is deceased.

I have work in private collections throughout the UK, Europe, the USA, New Zealand and
Canada.
